This is the easiest way to learn the basics in one swoop. This class is both the 4-hour beginner combo class AND the 2 hours Diseases & Pests class. Once you leave this class, you'll be armed with the basics of beekeeping and what might go wrong with them, then, how to fix it. This class will only be offered once, maybe twice each spring, depending on sign-ups, otherwise, you can still take these classes, they are just offered on different dates.

Taught by a Master Beekeeper, this class covers all the topics from both 101,102 & 106 classes in a time saving day long seminar. This class will teach you everything you need to know in order to start your own hives in one sitting. The first 2 hours talks about hive placement, installing your bees, hive parts and pieces, tools and more. The second two hours covers how the bees interact with each other, biology, forage habits, swarming and tips/tricks for successful beekeeping. The last 2 hours will cover potential hive issues and how to treat both naturally and chemically. It is a lot of information to take in, so bring paper and pen to take notes.

We will have two 15-minute breaks and 1 half hour lunch break. Food & Drink will be provided for the half hour break. Class will last approximately 6.5 hours.

Feel free to wear a mask, but you are not required to. Hand sanitizer will also be available. If you are feeling even slightly ill or have been ill recently, please call and reschedule your class date and time. We don't want to spread yuckiness.

PLEASE CHECK WEBSITE (www.GreatLakesBeeSupply.com) DAY OF CLASS FOR POSSIBLE WEATHER CANCELLATIONS. This will be the ONLY way students are notified of cancelled classes.  #777  www.GreatLakesBeeSupply.com
